Catherine is an occupational therapist who graduated from the University of Montreal, where she earned her master’s degree in 2016. She has worked in community mental health as well as in geriatric care at a long-term care facility during the pandemic.
With a focus on occupation, she uses third-wave cognitive-behavioral approaches, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and explores fourth-wave approaches based on the client’s needs. She is also developing expertise in internet addiction and is interested in the effects of technological distractions on well-being, a topic she explored during her master’s degree and continues to delve into.
She supports her clients based on the principle that they already possess within themselves the resources needed to move toward their recovery goals. She provides tools, offers new perspectives, and works to empower her clients in their own lives, but it is they who make progress, at their own pace, using their own strengths. Her clients appreciate her humor, her candor, and her self-deprecating sense of humor, which make the therapeutic space more human, lighter, and deeply authentic.
Catherine offers services exclusively online.
