GUIDANCE AND JOB-SEARCH ASSISTANCE
The Solutions en Réadaptation offers two services adapted to individuals who are looking to change or find a job or who are ready to return to work: guidance/reorientation services as well as job-search assistance.
We have a team of guidance and job counsellors ready to meet your clients to complete a full or partial guidance or job-search process, including finding an internship if necessary.
Job-search assistance
The job-search assistance services allow anyone who is able to work to be supported in their search for a job or internship. A labour market and employability professional will guide the future worker in the various steps to take to find a suitable job.
As such, the professional will help his client with the following :
- draft a resume and cover letter;
- learn about the various interview techniques and simulate interviews;
- present himself to employers in a proper fashion;
- market himself;
- enhance his awareness of the job sector, work conditions and potential employers in the field.
GUIDANCE AND REORIENTATION SERVICES
Guidance and reorientation services, offered in a rehabilitation context, target people who cannot or who do not want to return to their pre-injury job and aim to determine a suitable job for the worker. Supported by an experienced guidance counsellor, the individual completes a partial or full guidance and reorientation process according to his needs.
What does the guidance or reorientation process involve?
The guidance or reorientation process includes :
- one-on-one meetings with a guidance counsellor;
- complete analysis of the person’s profile (skills, aptitudes, motivations, values, areas of interest, etc.), namely through the administration of psychometric tests;
- interpretation of the psychometric tests completed and feedback to the client;
- skills assessment, if necessary;
- determination of a suitable job;
- if necessary, the guidance counsellor can also provide the client with job-search assistance (drafting of a resume, exploration of potential employers, interview simulation, etc.).
