Kristine Stepanyan, Psychologist

About

Kristine Stepanyan is a clinical psychologist specializing in psychotherapy. She completed her master's and doctoral studies in clinical and cognitive psychology at UQAM and UdeM, as well as an internship in individual and marital psychotherapy at the Argyle Institute in Montreal. Practicing since 2001, she has acquired expertise in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, systemic-holistic, cognitive-behavioral and third-wave therapies (ACT, DBT, mindfulness).

Committed to the 2ELGBTQI+ community, she has undergone specific training in psychotherapy focusing on the psychological issues of the 2ELGBTQI+ community, and has been providing individual and marital psychotherapy to transgender and 2ELGBTQI+ people in their individual and couple psychological recovery for the past eight years to date. She also works with veterans through the PCVRS program, offering brief therapies focused on concrete results.

Her specialties include the treatment of trauma, complex grief, anxiety, depression and personality disorders, as well as relational and intercultural issues. A member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec and the Association des psychologues du Québec since 2019, she is in private practice, offering psychotherapy services in French.
