Pier-Alexandre Labine, Occupational Therapist

About

Pier-Alexandre obtained a master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Ottawa in 2013 and a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the Université de Montréal in 2011.

He can manage a diverse clientele with physical and mental health disorders. He has taken numerous training courses on musculoskeletal disorders, including hand and upper limb problems, lumbar stabilization and lower quadrant muscle control. He has also taken training courses on the impact of cognitive difficulties on life habits and return to function following mild traumatic brain injury. Most recently, he completed training in sensory rehabilitation for the evaluation and treatment of neuropathic pain. His expertise is also put to good use in conducting functional capacity evaluations (FCEs) and interdisciplinary assessments.

In recent years, Pier-Alexandre has shared his passion for occupational therapy through his involvement in the integration of new occupational therapists, by regularly welcoming trainees and through his involvement in the university training of future occupational therapists at the Université de Montréal.
