Sandra Milena Escobar, Physiotherapy technologist

About

Sandra graduated in physiotherapy from the National University of Colombia in 2002. Sandra then gained professional experience in Colombia working with sports clientele, pediatrics, in a global physical activity program and in home care. She also worked in physical training in a gym. In parallel with her work in physiotherapy, Ms. Escobar has been a project manager in emerging physical activity programs with adult and children's sports teams. Finally, to complement these experiences, Sandra worked for a private orthotic company, giving physiotherapy recommendations and ensuring product quality. 

When she came to Canada, she completed her equivalencies in 2015 as a Physiotherapy Technologist at Cégep Marie Victorin. She completed her clinical internships with various clienteles, both adults and seniors. She took several courses in orthopedic rehabilitation to optimize her skills and offer a better service to her clients' needs. 

Sandra has concentrated her practice in private clinics in Canada with CNESST, SAAQ, private, functional rehabilitation (2nd line) and veteran clients. She recently completed a TENS certification to teach the use of functional TENS in pain management. Sandra therefore has a wealth of tools and knowledge to meet the needs of her physical rehabilitation clientele.
