Melissa Parent, Occupational Therapist

Mélissa graduated from the University of Sherbrooke with a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2021. She is a member in good standing of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec (OEQ) and the Association québécoise des ergothérapeutes en pratique privée (AQEPP). She began her career in private practice with Physiothérapie Universelle clinics as soon as she finished her studies.

Initially focusing on musculoskeletal clients, she soon developed an interest in hand therapy and orthotic fabrication. As a member of the Canadian Society of Hand Therapists (CSHT), she participates in several continuing education courses each year.

In 2022, again with a view to broadening her field of expertise, she began training in sensory pain rehabilitation, and obtained the title of Certified Sensory Pain Rehabilitator (CSPR) in 2023.
