Eric Homier, Physiotherapist

About

A physiotherapist who graduated from Laval University's Faculty of Medicine in 1990, his interest in orthopaedic manual therapy and the many training courses he has acquired over the past 25 years have enabled him to develop solid expertise.

In 2004, he was awarded a Fellowship in the Canadian Academy of Manual Therapy, the highest distinction in the field of manual therapy. In 2005, he joined the team of teachers and clinical supervisors for the orthopedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He taught manual therapy for over 10 years in Quebec, and has given some 20 training courses in Paris and Bordeaux since 2013.

A lecturer at the Université de Montréal from 2001 to 2018, he taught the advanced orthopedic manual therapy course as part of the master's program in physiotherapy. Over the years, he has passed on his knowledge through lectures to physiotherapists, kinesiologists and physicians.

With a thirst for knowledge and a constant desire to offer better service to his clientele, he has also acquired expertise in other areas of physiotherapy:

vestibular rehabilitation (treatment of vertigo and dizziness), headache treatment, certification in physiotherapeutic dry needling, expert-level certification in the prevention and treatment of running injuries, and running pattern assessment, treatment of low back pain, sciatica, neck pain and other chronic and recurrent orthopedic problems.

In 2021, he received the official title of "Fellow" from the Ordre de la physiothérapie du Québec for his great contribution to the development of the profession in Quebec.

He is currently a mentor and involved in continuing education for physiothérapie Universelle professionals.   Éric not only possesses knowledge and know-how, but it is above all his interpersonal skills that make him an exceptional clinician. He's a great listener, conscientious and committed to each and every one of his patients.
