Vanessa Daoust, Occupational Therapist

About

Vanessa graduated in occupational therapy from the Université de Montréal in 2013 and has been working in vocational rehabilitation since the start of her practice. Her years of clinical experience have led her to practice with a varied adult clientele: musculoskeletal disorders, hand therapy, craniocerebral trauma, mental health disorders, etc. Emphasizing active listening and respect for others, Vanessa strongly believes that establishing a positive therapeutic relationship fosters client involvement in their rehabilitation. In recent years, she has turned her attention to perinatal health, i.e. the well-being of new parents in the important and challenging life transition of welcoming a child (post-partum depression, adjustment disorder, anxiety, parental guilt, return to work following parental leave, etc.)!

Vanessa is also involved in the development of occupational therapy in Quebec, regularly hosting interns and teaching clinical courses at the Université de Montréal's School of Rehabilitation.
