+1 (514) 990 9299Vanessa graduated from Université de Montréal's occupational therapy program in 2013 and joined the Physiothérapie Universelle network right out of university.
Vanessa has gained experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders including hand therapy. Since 2018, she has also been accompanying clients with common mental disorders (anxiety disorder, depression, adjustment disorder, etc.). She strongly believes that establishing a good therapeutic relationship is important to foster personalized care and optimize client engagement in their rehabilitation.
She is also involved in the development of occupational therapy in Quebec, as a clinical lecturer at the École de réadaptation de l'Université de Montréal and as a contributor to ERG-go! Revue des ergothérapeutes du Québec.
Vanessa has taken relevant continuing education courses to enhance her professional skills. She has mastered motivational interviewing, enabling her to guide and motivate her clients in their rehabilitation. She is also trained in the choice of measurement instruments adapted to mental health clients. Vanessa is also skilled in behavioral activation and cognitive therapy, offering effective interventions to treat depression. She has acquired expertise in the rehabilitation of traumatic brain injury and borderline personality disorder. She has also taken university courses in work rehabilitation and pain management at the Université de Sherbrooke.
